The Korean Society of Food Science and Technology (KoSFoST) founded in 1968 is a voluntary, nonprofit scientific association in the field of food science and technology. The KoSFoST is endeavoring to elevate the level of food science and technology in theoretical and practical aspects by providing scientific and technical information to the food industry, stimulating community education and training programs and, finally, making timely recommendations for the benefit of the general public.

From July 6 to 8, 2022, more than 2,000 professionals and students representing academia, government, and industries in the field of food science and technology will attend the KoSFoST International Symposium and Annual Meeting at the Bexco, Busan, Korea. The theme of the event is “Carving a New Era in Food Science and Biotechnology”. The KoSFoST will include three days of intensive technical and educational sessions on a wide range of topics by leading domestic and international industry experts. The program will include plenary lectures, and keynote, concurrent, and reciprocity sessions, providing opportunities for dialog on important global topics in the food industry.

The KoSFoST is dedicated to advancing and disseminating knowledge in broad areas of food science and technology, including chemistry, biochemistry, processing, engineering, safety, packaging, microbiology, biotechnology, functional foods, and other food-related fields.

At this annual event, there will be many opportunities to learn about the latest trends in new scientific discoveries, future technological developments, valuable food ingredients, and potential business impacts. The 2022 KoSFoST International Symposium and Annual Meeting is an exciting event that will foster innovation, enthusiasm, and advancement for food science, food scientists, and the food industry in general. This symposium will be the biggest in the food science and technology sector in Korea.
