The mission of the KoSFoST is to promote research and education in the science and technology of food by fostering interfaces between academia and food industry under the motto 'industry-academia cooperation'. In order to fulfill this goal, the KoSFoST publishes Food Science and Biotechnology (FSB), an English journal indexed in SCIE, along with the publication of bimonthly Korean Journal of Food Science and Technology, and quarterly Food Science and Industry which carries an academic knowledge and food industry news. Besides, the KoSFoST is holding several symposia, workshop, and training programs related to food science and technology through the year to contribute to the foundation of collaborative relationships with academia and industries.
The KoSFoST provides annual meeting and international symposium every summer for the exchange of ideas and research findings in the food science and technology community. The '2017 KoSFoST International Symposium and Annual Meeting' will be held in International Convention Center with the theme of "The role of food scientists & food industries for food security" in June 21-23, 2017. The scientific programs will host over 20 scientific and educational sessions with over 1,000 poster presentations, 50 exhibition booths, and other relevant activities. We are welcoming all members of the KoSFoST and overseas food scientists and technologists to the '2017 KoSFoST International Symposium and Annual Meeting', in ICC, Jeju, a beautiful island in Korea.
